Located in Lansing, Michigan. The Michigan State Capitol is one of the truly great buildings in Michigan designed by Elijah E. Myers and completed 1879. The Michigan capitol stand as a classic example of post Civil War architecture. The interior is one of the most beautiful examples of Victoria era decorative arts. After undergoing a massive five year restoration (1987 to 1992), the capitol was returned to all its Victorian grandeur. The Capitol is opened for tours daily, and well worth the trip.
