First lit in 1857, the Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse is a great example of a Lake Huron lighthouse. The tower stands 89 feet and is still operational has a aid to navagation, makering the enterace to Saginaw Bay. Located on Michigan's "thumb' near Grindstone city, in the Lighthouse Park. The Lighthouse keeper's house is a very nice museum .
